The RED ROC DISC GOLF CLUB

Originally named "The Illiana Flying Tigers Disc Golf Club", our club was established in 1997. We were stewards of Riverside Park in Hammond,
IN., Community Park in Munster, IN. and Sgt. Means Park in Olympia Fields, IL. Our club was renamed "Red Roc Disc Golf Club" in 2001 in memory of our friend, disc golf player and contributor Matt Lovasko from Munster, IN who died tragically in a house fire. Today Matt’s memory flies high in discs everywhere and is best known to so many as “HOMIE”. Our club working with Matt’s family hosts the HOMIE Fall Celebration in October which has become one of the Midwest’s largest annual disc golf tournaments.

Today our park affiliations include Lemon Lake County Park in Crown Point, IN., Pulaski Park in North Hammond, IN, Riverside Park in South Hammond, IN., Community Park in Munster, IN., a new 18 hole course at Hidden Lake in Merrillville, IN., and three additional parks with work currently underway in Portage, IN, Lowell, IN and Evergreen Park on the Southside of Chicago, IL. The Red Roc Disc Golf Club was the proud host of the PDGA 2010 Professional Disc Golf World Championship and hosts many annual events including the Frozen Tundra Doubles in February, March Mudness Doubles in March, The Spring Opener in April, The Indiana State Championships in July, King of the Courses Doubles in November and Amateur Only and Red/White/Blue hybrid events throughout the year. We are honored to have been chosen once again as the host club for the upcoming 2013 World Championship Tournaments. This historic event will be held at Lemon Lake County Park in Crown Point, IN August 3-10 and we look forward to seeing you all there!
